Buyer License Information

This page explains the default expectations for avatar purchases. The creator’s clearly disclosed listing-specific license may grant additional or different rights.

Last updated: June 20, 2026

This is a working policy draft. Prismavi should obtain qualified legal review before accepting real payments or publicly launching.

1. You are purchasing a license

Buying an avatar generally gives you permission to use the delivered digital product under the creator’s license. It does not transfer copyright, trademark ownership, source-asset ownership, or authorship to you.

Prismavi facilitates delivery, but the creator is ordinarily the licensor of the avatar product.

2. Default personal-use permission

Unless the listing grants broader rights, a purchase is for the buyer’s personal use on accounts controlled by that buyer.

You may make reasonable backup copies and install the product as needed for your own permitted use.

3. Redistribution is prohibited

Unless the creator expressly permits it, you may not:

  • Share the original files with friends or communities.
  • Resell, sublicense, leak, mirror, or re-upload the package.
  • Post the files in Discord servers, drives, torrents, or repositories.
  • Include the product in another product or commission.
  • Extract and redistribute included assets.
  • Sell access to an account containing the avatar.

4. Public avatars and cloning

Unless a creator clearly permits it, do not upload a purchased avatar publicly in a way that allows other users to clone or obtain access to it.

Buyers should normally upload purchased avatars privately to their own VRChat account.

5. Modifications and asset reuse

You may only modify the avatar to the extent allowed by the creator’s license.

Permission to modify an avatar does not automatically grant permission to extract, reuse, sell, or distribute individual models, textures, scripts, clothing, shaders, or accessories.

6. Streaming and commercial use

Streaming, monetized content, advertising, commissions, merchandise, games, worlds, and other commercial uses are allowed only where the creator’s license clearly permits them.

Contact the creator before relying on unclear commercial-use rights.

7. Account and download security

Do not share your Prismavi download access or temporary signed links. Protect downloaded files and account credentials from unauthorized access.

Prismavi and creators should never request your VRChat password.

8. Refunds and access

Downloading a product may affect refund eligibility. Refunds may still be available where required by law or where files are not delivered, materially defective, duplicated, or materially inconsistent with the listing.

Access may be revoked after a refund, fraudulent chargeback, license violation, or account suspension.

9. Listing-specific terms

Always read the individual listing’s License Notes, Included Files, Requirements, and creator documentation before buying.

Where listing-specific terms conflict with this default guide, the clearly disclosed creator terms generally control unless prohibited by law or Prismavi policy.

10. Questions

Ask the creator about product-specific license rights. Marketplace support questions may be sent to support@prismavi.app.
